THE TRING ANGLERS

Juniors match / bbq / taster session - GUC AA, Wilstone - 20 August 2011

Even the threat of heavy rain couldn't put off the takers for this event so we ended up with 13 youngsters fishing the match on the gudgeon stream pound and 20 people between the ages of 4 and 77 trying out the taster session on the wooden bridge section. Happily the worst of the weather stayed away, all the anglers caught fish and Dick & Sheila served up some lovely bbq food (as usual) so everyone was happy.

The top positions in the Junior match were

1 Daniel Tyler, peg 12 - 2lb 9oz - received Masterline waggler rod, reel, Ron Thompson luggage set
2 Morgan Richards, peg 7 - 1lb 6oz - keepnet, fishing stool, specimen landing net, bank sticks, bait boxes and bits
3= Dan & Tom Clutterbuck, peg 1, also Lewis Hance - 0lb 12oz - pan nets, bait boxes, bait and float boxes and bits
5 Alex Ludlow - 0lb 10oz, peg 5 - banksticks, bait & float boxes and bits

Everyone who fished received a MasterLine goody bag containing scissors, hook store, line and loads of other useful bits.
